Notable Copy with Scholarly Annotation The books Mekor Chaim and Tiferet Tzvi on Yoreh De'ah, Laws of Niddah, authored by Rabbi Shneur Ziskind Gundarsheim, Av Beit Din of the Trier region and head of the Beit Din in his hometown, Pforzheim. Printed in Offenbach, 1798. First edition. The text includes the Shulchan Aruch, accompanied by two commentaries on either side. The author, a prominent rabbi and leader of the Jewish communities in Ashkenaz, passed away in 1802 (Year 5563). In the introduction, he recounts key events from his life. On the inner side of the binding, there is an owner's signature: ”The humble Shlomo, son of my honored father, the esteemed Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Halevi Bamberger.” Rabbi Shlomo Bamberger (1835-1918), son of the Rabbi of Würzburg, served as a rabbi in several cities and, from 1886, as Av Beit Din in Sennheim. He was ordained by the renowned Rabbi Yair Bachrach (author of Aruch LaNer). He married the daughter of Rabbi Avraham Adler, Av Beit Din of Aschaffenburg, and authored Limud Aruch and other works. On the flyleaf, an additional owner's signature appears: ”The humble Neta, son of my father, Rabbi Meir Pallerheim.” He passed away in 1817; his tombstone is listed in Avnei Zikaron (Frankfurt), entry number 4868. On page 23, there is a lengthy scholarly annotation. Pagination: [3], 144, [2] pages. Includes two pages of corrigenda, which are not present in all copies. Size: 32 cm. Condition: Very good.
