This edition contains printed annotations by the well-known scholar Raphael Kirchheim. At the beginning of this volume, the biography of the Chida, written by Eliezer Carmoly, was printed. At the end of the book, annotations by Rabbi Aharon Fold and Eliezer Carmoly appear. In the publisher's introduction, he notes that he received a donation for the printing of the book from ”the young and greatly wise” righteous minister, Shimon Wolf Rothschild, who at that time was only 19 years old!
