Tosefta – Orders Zera’im and Nashim, with the commentary ”Cheshek Shlomo, ” by Shlomo Leib Friedländer – the forger of the ”Yerushalmi on Kodashim.” Pressburg, 5649-5650 [1889-1890]. - Tosefta Zera’im – Pressburg 5649 [1889] – with the commentary ”Cheshek Shlomo” – the first work of the notorious forger, Rabbi Shlomo Friedländer – both parts, including Order Nashim. ”Tosefta Order Zera’im with the commentary 'Cheshek Shlomo' by Rabbi Shlomo Leib Friedländer from the holy community of Mülhausen, Alsace.” Includes an introduction detailing the many manuscripts used to establish the text of the Tosefta, as well as brief studies on the writing of the Tosefta, its principles, and the nature of his commentary. This is the first work of Rabbi Shlomo Friedländer, the forger of the ”Yerushalmi on Kodashim.” Even in this work, he began his forgeries, relying on manuscripts that never existed. An additional title page in French states that the text was corrected according to manuscripts, which most likely never existed. Title pages in Hebrew and foreign languages. Overall good condition, the foreign language title page is detached with tears on the margins. Small tears on the edges of a few pages. Old worn binding, with repairs to the spine. On the front cover, signatures of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Bamberger and a later signature of Rabbi Binyamin Bamberger. Stamp of Rabbi Zeckel Bamberger.
