Shvilei David Yehuda – A Work on Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer, by Rabbi David Yehuda Zilberstein Jerusalem, 5622 [1862]. - Includes novellae by Rabbi Meir Eisenstadt of Ungvar. About the Author Rabbi David Leib Zilberstein was born in 1820 (תק”פ) to his father, Rabbi Aharon. He studied under Rabbi Meir Eisenstadt (the Maharam A”Sh) in Ungvar and Rabbi Koppel Charif in Verboi. After his marriage, he was appointed Moreh Tzedek in Ujhel, where he lived for four years. He then served as Rabbi of Senta. In 1859 (תרי”ט), he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael, settling in Jerusalem, where he became a Dayan in the Beit Din of Kolel Ungarin. Around 1870 (תר”ל), he was forced to return to Hungary, where he served as Rabbi of Kerestir and Terebes. In his later years, he became Rabbi of Vitzn, where he served until his passing on Erev Pesach, 1884 (תרמ”ד). Bibliographic Reference S. Halevi, Early Jerusalem Books #67.
