The author frequently cites teachings from his illustrious grandfather, including personal recollections from his childhood in the presence of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin (see facsimile). The book’s title, Bach Yevarech Yisrael, is based on the verse in which Yaakov Avinu blesses his grandsons, Ephraim and Menashe, with these words. Additionally, the title contains a gematria-based significance. About the Author: Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Munzon (1843–1918) was the son of Rabbi Yosef of Berdichev, who was a son-in-law of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. As a child, he was raised in the presence of his saintly grandfather and later became the son-in-law of Rabbi Yechiel Michel of Galina. He first served as Rebbe in Zwalov, later moving to Lizherna.
