The letters and responsa of Rabbeinu the Rambam include correspondence regarding the controversy over Maimonidean writings that erupted after his passing, responses to halachic questions addressed to him, a letter of guidance to his son Rabbi Abraham, and more. This edition was printed by Cornelius Adelkind at the De Fariz press; the following year, the book was printed again in Venice, leaf for leaf. However, the edition before us is particularly rare. The scanned copy available on the National Library website, originating from the Valmadonna Library, is incomplete. The complete book comprises 95 leaves. The copy before us ends on leaf 88 and lacks the last 7 leaves, as well as leaves: 8-9, 25, 32-40, and 49-56. In total, 25 leaves are missing. 14 cm. Condition: Good-moderate. Time stains. The white margins of the title page have been artistically restored. Loose leaves. Worn binding.
