This edition includes, for the first time, additions from the author’s own holy manuscript, taken from the margins of the Shulchan Aruch which he studied. On the title page appears an engraving with the inscription beneath: “Grave of the divine Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and his son Rabbi Elazar.” Following the title page is an approbation from the rabbis of Safed: Rabbi Shmuel Heller, Rabbi Mordechai Maimon, and Rabbi Shlomo Heilprin.
