Mishnah Berurah with the word “Mugah” (“Checked”) handwritten twice by the Chafetz Chaim himself - Mishnah Berurah – with the word “Mugah” (Checked) in the holy handwriting of the Chafetz Chaim. Mishnah Berurah, Hilchot Pesach and Hilchot Yom Tov (Volume V). Warsaw, 1901. With the handwritten notation “Mugah.” The Chafetz Chaim, out of concern for the prohibition of theft and deception, was exceedingly meticulous in checking for printing errors in every book he released for sale. Each copy that he personally reviewed received the inscription “Mugah” (“Checked”). Over the years, many of these markings disappeared due to rebinding or erasure. This may be the first edition. The title page is dated 1901 (תרס”א), while the verso of the title page states 1903. Very good condition. Title page loose. Original worn binding.
