The book Mikra Kodesh, “These are the supplications, songs and hymns… recited after midnight… on Friday night in public congregation…, ” printed by Reuven M. Moskovitz, Cairo, 1930. With an approbation by Rabbi Chaim Nahum, Chief Rabbi of Egypt. Rare work. On the original cover, a gilt sticker with the inscription: “For the honor of Rabbi Chaim Nahum, may he live.” [4], 90, 25 pp. 19 cm. Ten documents from the Rabbinate and Jewish community of Cairo. Including: A letter from the Alexandria community. A letter in Castilian. Two rare documents from the Jewish community of Tanta, Egypt, signed and stamped by Kahal Kadosh Tanta. Tanta, 1931. Very few Jews lived in this northern Egyptian city, and documents from there are exceptionally rare. Overall condition: Fair to good.
