She'agat Aryeh. Frankfurt an der Oder, 1756. First Edition - She'agat Aryeh, responsa by Rabbi Aryeh Leib ben Asher of Metz [Ginzburg], printed in his lifetime, and by which he became known as the “Ba’al She’agat Aryeh.” The author originally printed the book with 103 simanim (out of 108), including a final leaf of errata. This version was referenced by Rabbi Akiva Eiger, who noted Siman 103 as the ”last responsum.” The present copy, like the original editions, does not include the additional leaves that were later appended after printing. The reason, as explained by the author in the introduction, was due to printing costs, which prevented him from publishing the entire work. Owner's stamp: Rabbi Aharon Pressburger of Banyad, born 1876 to his father Rabbi Yosef, dayan of Mattersdorf. From 1924 he served as Av Beit Din of Bonyhád until his murder in the Holocaust.
