Rabbi Moshe Feinstein (1895–1986), leader of American Jewry, was among the foremost halachic authorities in the post-Holocaust era. He was the most prominent and influential halachic decisor in the United States, serving as chairman of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah of Agudath Israel of America, and as Rosh Yeshiva of Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem in New York.
