Letter from the Admor Rabbi Meshulam Zusia Twersky of Chernobyl - Letter of blessings from the Admor Rabbi Meshulam Zusia Twersky of Chernobyl. Jerusalem, 1958. The holy Rabbi Meshulam Zusia Twersky, the Admor of Chernobyl [1910–1988], son of the holy Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak, a direct descendant of the founder of the Chernobyl dynasty, the holy author of Meor Einayim, of blessed memory. On his mother’s side, he was a grandson of the illustrious author of Divrei Chaim of Sanz, of blessed memory. In 1934, he merited to ascend from Russia to the Land of Israel. In 1936, until the outbreak of the Holocaust, he traveled to Poland and stayed with his grandfather, the holy Rabbi Yitzchak Yeshaiah of Tshakhiv, son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Brandwein. At first he lived in Jerusalem, and later moved to Bnei Brak where he established the distinguished Chernobyl Chassidut. His sons are the well-known Admorim of the Chernobyl dynasty in the Land of Israel and the United States. His sons-in-law include the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Vizhnitz, shlit”a, and the Admor Rabbi Nissan of Kretchnif. [1] Official letterhead. 16x20.5 cm.
