Order of “Vecharot Imo HaBrit” in manuscript. 19th century. - Paper booklet containing 2 leaves written in fine scribal script, with the verses from “Vecharot Imo HaBrit” until “Hashem Yimloch LeOlam Va’ed.” To the right of each verse designated for the sandak, it is marked “– Sandak –.” The source of this custom is among Jews of German origin, and it is mentioned in the book Otzar HaBrit, where it is written: “…and so he chants from ‘Vecharot Imo HaBrit’ until after Yishtabach with a special melody. And the verses of Vecharat are divided between the Sandak and the Mohel, each one reciting part on behalf of the congregation.” [2] paper leaves. 32 cm. 3 written pages in ink. Moderate condition.
