Vilna, 1859 — one year before the author’s passing. The book is essentially a siddur, including the prayers for Yom Kippur Katan. Maran Sar HaTorah, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky zt”l, recommended its reprinting to Rabbi Reuven Dov Dessler and wrote in his approbation: “It is correct and beautiful to publish and release it in a new edition so that many will benefit from it, and the prayers in it will be accepted favorably!” 83 pages. On the virtue and power of Yom Kippur Katan prayer: Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Shulsinger zt”l testified that he heard from Maran the Steipler zt”l: “I know that it has always been the custom in the yeshivot that the Yom Kippur Katan prayer is a beneficial prayer that helps annul harsh decrees, Heaven forbid… A few years after the passing of the Chazon Ish, there was a difficult period among Mir Yeshiva alumni in the U.S., when many suddenly passed away prematurely, Heaven forbid, and the situation was dire and no counsel could be found. One of them wrote a letter to his friend Rabbi Avraham Yosef Wolf zt”l, and I told Rabbi Wolf: I know that it was customary in the yeshivot that the Yom Kippur Katan prayer is effective in annulling harsh decrees. Immediately Rabbi Wolf telephoned or telegraphed this to his friend in the U.S., as it was close to Rosh Chodesh, and they managed to organize a Yom Kippur Katan prayer there.
