Foundational Work - She’elot u-Teshuvot (Responsa) by Rabbi Eliyahu ben Chaim (the Maharana”ch) – one of the earliest of the later authorities. Printed in Constantinople, [1610] – First Edition. In the publisher's introduction, Rabbi Yitzchak ben David de Leon writes that some of the author's manuscripts were stolen, and that the sages of Constantinople issued a decree obligating anyone in possession of his writings to return them. The book was printed without a date or printer’s name. For discussion of the editing and printing, see: M.
