“HaKatan Natan David Rozenboim” – The Personal Prayer Book (Siddur) of the Miracle Worker of Zutshka, of Blessed Memory; with a Kabbalistic Prayer in His Hand - Seder Tefillot Yisrael, according to the custom of Poland, Posen, and Mehren, with Derech HaChaim by Rabbi Yaakov of Lissa and Iyun Tefillah. Königsberg, 5615 [1855]. The personal prayer book of the holy Admor, Rabbi Natan David Rozenboim of Zutshka, zt”l – father-in-law of the renowned spiritual guide Rabbi Elimelech Biderman, shlita. The siddur bears several ownership stamps of the Rebbe, as well as over one hundred handwritten words, apparently in his own sacred handwriting. A rare and holy Hasidic artifact – the personal siddur from which the Rebbe of Zutshka prayed for many decades. This prayer book is literally soaked with the tears, supplications, and heartfelt prayers of the tzaddik and wonder-worker, whose reputation spread throughout the Jewish world for his extraordinary power of prayer. According to the testimony of his close followers, the Rebbe would pray from this very siddur whenever one of his Hasidim faced distress or illness, and his many tears became absorbed into its sanctified pages. At the margin of the final page appears an additional Kabbalistic prayer, possibly also in the Rebbe’s own handwriting — a prayer originally composed by the holy Arizal, which the Rebbe of Zutshka would recite each month during the Sanctification of the New Moon (Kiddush HaChodesh) on Shabbat, as he stood before the ark holding the Torah scroll in his arms. The potency and mystical merit of this monthly prayer, recited directly from his personal siddur, were well known among his followers. Among Hasidic circles it is firmly believed that praying from a tzaddik’s personal siddur carries great spiritual power — a source of salvation, healing, and blessing. This siddur, from which the Rebbe of Zutshka poured out his soul in prayer for decades, is thus considered a sacred vessel through which countless salvations were brought to those who sought his blessing.
