Kelah Pitchei Chochmah – Warsaw, 1888 [תרמ”ח]. With the Signature of Rabbi David of Sochatchov - A fine Warsaw edition of Kelah Pitchei Chochmah by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto (the Ramchal) – a foundational Kabbalistic work presenting a deep and systematic exposition of the principles of Divine wisdom and the structure of creation. On the title page and front flyleaf appears the original handwritten signature of Rabbi David Bornsztain of Sochatchov, son of the Shem MiShmuel and third Rebbe of the Sochatchov dynasty, author of Chasdei David. Rabbi David of Sochatchov (1876–1943) was one of the great Polish Rebbes and a member of the Council of Torah Sages (Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah). He founded the Beit Avraham network of yeshivot, named in memory of his father, continuing the profound analytical method of learning developed in the Sochatchov tradition. During the Holocaust, he emerged as one of the spiritual leaders of the Warsaw Ghetto, a source of comfort and strength in those dark days. Most of his writings were lost during the war; the few that survived were later published as Chasdei David. 214 pages. Size: 22.5 cm. Condition: Very good. Simple binding.
