First edition A work devoted mainly to interpreting the words of Rabbeinu Ibn Ezra in his commentary on the verses, and to explaining the reasons for the commandments in accordance with the teachings of Maimonides (the Rambam). On leaf 123, the author attacks those who believe in the doctrine of transmigration of souls (gilgul) according to Kabbalistic thought — a view rejected by most Jewish philosophers of his era. At the conclusion of the book, the author notes that he also included commentary on most of The Guide for the Perplexed, since few truly grasp the depth of the Rambam’s philosophical path. 130 leaves. 31 cm.
