For many years, this was the sacred instrument through which words of Torah truth flowed from his holy hand. Sitting in his modest home on Rashbam Street in Bnei Brak, the Rav would hold this very pen as piles of letters and halachic inquiries lay before him. Every stroke of the pen, every written word, was imbued with awe of Heaven, clarity of thought, and unshakable attachment to Torah. With this pen he composed countless brief yet decisive rulings — sometimes a single word, sometimes a short phrase — each one regarded as a binding halachic decision from the greatest sage of the generation, treasured with reverence by its recipient.
