Amsterdam, 5465 [1705]. A prayer book according to the Polish rite, with commentary in Ashkenazic (Yiddish), intended for women. It includes prayers for all days of the year, with Selichot, Yotzerot, and the Passover Haggadah. The title page features a copper engraving with three scenes: challah, candle lighting, and niddah. The Book of Psalms has a separate title page, as does the section Seder Tachanot, which includes supplicatory prayers in Yiddish. The siddur is complete and preserved in fine condition. It is rare to find a siddur of this type in comparable condition. Collation: [3], 315; [1], 92 leaves. Size: 19 cm. Condition: Very good. Minor flaw to the title page. Light age toning. Original leather binding. Gilt edges with decorative leaf motifs.
