Ethiopian Prayer Book - Seder Tefillot of the Falashas, translated from Ge‘ez (Gəʿəz) into Hebrew by Joseph Halévy, emissary of the Alliance Israélite Universelle to Ethiopia. Paris, 5637 [1877]. Collected and translated by Joseph Halévy during his journey in 5627 [1867] on behalf of the Alliance Israélite Universelle, “so that it may be clearly known that the Falashas, like us, share one faith, and that there is no difference between us and them except in practices and customs whose origins lie in later generations.” The first part is in Hebrew; the second part comprises 58 pages of facsimiles of the original manuscript in the Ge‘ez (Ethiopic) language.
