Divrei David and Hon Yosef. Livorno, 1828. Distinguished copy - Sefer Divrei David and Sefer Hon Yosef. Responsa on matters of Even HaEzer by Rabbeinu David ben Zimra – the Radbaz. With novellae on the responsa and additional halakhic responsa by Rabbi Yosef Zamiro. Livorno, 5588 [1828]. Only edition. First edition of these responsa by the Radbaz. In later, commonly available editions, these responsa of the Radbaz are printed under the title Part VII. Rabbi Yosef Zamiro, who brought the book to press, added his own annotations and novellae within the Radbaz’s responsa. In addition, he included in the volume responsa of his own on the same subjects. With important approbations from the rabbis of Tunis and the rabbis of Livorno. According to the computation of the date of printing, the year would be 5580 [1820]; however, the approbation of the rabbis of Livorno is signed in the month of Tishrei 5590 [1829]. Rabbi Yosef Zamiro, dayan and communal leader in Jerusalem (d. 5603 [1843]), traveled on a mission on behalf of the Land of Israel to Tunis and Livorno, during which he printed his novellae together with the responsa of the Radbaz. Ownership signature on the title page: “the youth Ezra Attiya, may he be well.” Rabbi Ezra Attiya (5570–5635 [1810–1875]), known as Rabbi Ezra Attiya the First, was among the sages of Aleppo and a renowned preacher.
