Divrei Moshe. The copy of the Admor Rabbi Aharon of Kaidanov - Divrei Moshe – Milḥamot Ari. Laws of Circumcision and Redemption of the Firstborn according to the order of the Shulḥan Arukh, by Rabbi Moshe Ari Alter. Lemberg (Lvov), 1876. Only edition. At the end of the book appears a long list of subscribers (prenumeranten), containing many noteworthy names. Ownership inscription on the title page: “Aharon Perlów of Kaidanov”—the Admor Rabbi Aharon Perlov (1839–1897), son of the Admor Rabbi Baruch Mordechai of Kaidanov. Upon his father’s passing in 1872, he was appointed to succeed him as Admor of Kaidanov at the age of 32. During his leadership the Hasidic court flourished and reached its numerical peak, numbering thousands of followers throughout Lithuania. He was renowned as a great Torah scholar in both the revealed and mystical teachings, and was respected even by leading sages outside the Hasidic movement. He headed the Kaidanov kollel in the Land of Israel, published Or Ne’erav by Rabbi Moshe Cordovero (the Ramak) with his own glosses, and authored the introduction to the Kaidanov Hasidic prayer book. His Torah teachings were published posthumously in Zekher Tzaddik (Vilna, 1905). On the front endpaper appears the stamp of his son, Rabbi Neḥemia Perlov, who later served as Admor of Kaidanov in Baranovichi until his murder in the Holocaust. [2], 6, 43, 53, [2] leaves.
