Extremely rare - Shulḥan Shel Arbaʿ — a foundational work on the laws and conduct of the meal, with a profound exposition on the banquet of the righteous in the World to Come and on the doctrine of the Resurrection of the Dead, by Rabbi Bahya ben Asher (Ibn Ḥalawa). Prague, 1595. An early edition of this important work, also known as “The Table of Four.” The book is arranged in four sections; the fourth gate is devoted to an in-depth discussion of the perfected meal prepared for the righteous in the future era and its theological significance. The title page is adorned with an engraving of the Temple, enhancing the symbolic and spiritual character of the work. A particularly rare and significant volume. [20] leaves; 18.5 cm.
