Amsterdam, printed by Naftali Hertz Levi, 1739. Magnificent copy.

A fine edition of the renowned ethical work Menorat HaMaor, here accompanied by a translation into Yiddish (Lashon Ashkenaz).

In this year, three different editions of Menorat HaMaor were printed in Amsterdam. The present edition includes added scriptural references (mareh mekomot) to the biblical verses. A rare Amsterdam printing.

Ownership signatures present.

[8], 434 leaves. 25 cm. Wide margins.

Very good condition. White paper. A few isolated wormholes.

Contemporary wooden boards covered with leather, with remnants of clasps.
