Glosses and comments in early Sephardic script. Early edition of HaLevush , one of the foundational books on the halachahs of Ashkenazic communities. There are approximately twenty lengthy glosses in ancient Oriental-North African script in the section on Yoreh Deah . Some of the glosses are signed: Y.P.  The glosses have not been examined yet they were obviously written by a sage of stature. Early owner's signatures on the title page and leaf 2 of the Orach Chaim section.  A-(B): Levush HaTechelet ( Levush HaChur ) ... Tur Orach Chaim, 68; 69-200 [2] leaves.  C: Levush Ateret Zahav . Tur Yoreh Deah. 148, [2] leaves. D: Levush HaButz V'HaArgaman . Tur Even HaEzer. 87 leaves.  Approximately 33 cm. Bound in two matching bindings. Fine condition.
