Extraordinarily Rare Document. Execution of the Will of Kabbalist Rabbi Shimshon Chaim Nachmani, Author of Zera Shimshon. Reggio, 1773 - The author of  Zera Shimshon arranged a last will and testament in 1766. In 1769, he compiled a 4-leaf addendum ”written and signed in my handwriting with my signature.” In the rare document before us, the author of  Zera Shimshon  arranged and execution of both of the above wills in 1773 with an acquisition carried out before witnesses. The word  'Copy' appears at the top of the leaf (which was also done at the same time). The witnesses were: his disciple, Rabbi Chanaiah Elchanan Chai HaKohen, later rabbi of Reggio ( Nepi-Girondi pp. 324-325) and the second witness is R' Shmuel Yedidyahu son of Mordechai Chaim Grasiti. Rabbi Shimshon Chaim Nachmani  [1707-1779] was a G-dly kabbalist, pious and ascetic; one of the leading sages of Italy. He was a disciple of the Raba”ch in kabbalah. He authored: Zera Shimshon al HaTorah  and  Toldot Shimshon al Masechet Avot . The Chid”a writes about him that he was an expert in practical kabbalah, and before  he passed away, he instructed that all his kabbalistic writings be buried in his grave. In recent years, stories of wonder and salvation have been publicized about couples who have been blessed with viable offspring in the merit of his book Zera Shimshon , as he promises in his  introduction to this book.
