Unpublished Manuscript by a Disciple of the “Sha’ar HaZekenim” of Fürth – Novellae from Leading German Rabbis – Late 18th Century - A manuscript notebook comprising approximately 50 written pages, containing Talmudic novellae and commentaries on the Torah, handwritten by a disciple of Rabbi Wolf Hamburg, author of Sha’ar HaZekenim. [Germany, late 18th century]. The manuscript includes Torah novellae and teachings transmitted in the names of prominent German rabbis of the generation, among them: “My teacher and master” – Rabbi Wolf Hamburg, author of Sha’ar HaZekenim (leaf 1a) Rabbi Hertz Scheuer (leaves 10a–b, 11a, 12a) Rabbi Yonah Bondi (leaf 11b) “Admor R.S.B., may his light shine” (leaves 11a, 12a) “Admor Moreinu HaRav Rabbi Nota, may his light shine” (leaf 16a) Rabbi Avraham Broda (leaf 30a) The manuscript has not been thoroughly researched or examined by us. It appears that the manuscript has never been published. [30] leaves, of which approximately [50] pages are written. Height: 21.5 cm. Condition: Most leaves in good condition. The final leaves are in fair condition, with loss to the upper left corner. Stains and minor wear. Unbound; several leaves detached.
