Zikukin DeNura U’Viurin DeAsha – Distinguished Copy of Rebbe Rabbi Chanoch Saadya of Zychlin - Zikukin DeNura U’Viurin DeAsha, a comprehensive commentary on Seder Eliyahu Rabbah and Eliyahu Zuta—collectively known as Tanna Devei Eliyahu [with the original text], by the holy gaon Rabbi Shmuel Haida. Lemberg, 1870. The title page bears the autograph signature of Rebbe Rabbi Chanoch Saadya Zychlinski of Zychlin, one of the prominent Polish Hasidic leaders of the generation preceding the Holocaust. Rabbi Chanoch Saadya Zychlinski (1885–1941) was the son of Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Netanel of Zychlin. Following his father’s passing in 1912, he succeeded him as leader of the Zychlin Hasidic dynasty and guided his followers in several Polish cities, including Zychlin, Stryków, and Łódź. He was among the leading figures of Orthodox Jewish life in Łódź and headed the organization Shemirat Shabbat, which worked to strengthen Sabbath observance in the great industrial center. He perished in the Holocaust together with his community, and most remnants of his library and personal possessions were lost during the destruction of European Jewry. The present volume is an important Hasidic association copy, preserved from the library of a renowned Rebbe and one of the central figures of pre-war Polish Jewry. [16], 257; [1], 78 leaves. 25 cm.
