Likkutei Halakhot. “Revised in its entirety” — in the author’s own handwriting - A volume of Likkutei Halakhot by Rabbeinu Yisrael Meir Kagan, author of the Ḥafetz Ḥayyim. On the front endpaper appears an autograph inscription by the author himself, in his own hand: “Mugah ha-kol” (“Revised in its entirety”). Likkutei Halakhot to the tractates Sanhedrin, Makkot, [Shevuot], and Horayot. Piotrków, c. 1910 (printer noted on the verso of the title page: Levin Epstein Press, Warsaw). On the verso of the title page, the Ḥafetz Ḥayyim writes a letter of thanks to the members of the Sha‘arei Torah study hall, among them Rabbi Meir ben Baruch Mordechai ha-Levi, who assisted in the work, conveyed through Rabbi Moshe Shimon Zivitz, rabbi of Pittsburgh. Pagination: 102, 14, 3–34, 18 pages. Likkutei Halakhot to Tractate Niddah. Piotrków, 1923 (printer noted on the verso of the title page: Levin Epstein Press, Warsaw). Here too, on the verso of the title page, the Ḥafetz Ḥayyim records a letter of thanks to the members of the Sha‘arei Torah study hall, including Rabbi Meir ben Baruch Mordechai ha-Levi, through Rabbi Moshe Shimon Zivitz of Pittsburgh. Pagination: [2], 74 pages. Condition: very good. Original binding, detached. A remarkable and highly significant volume, bearing clear autograph testimony to the direct involvement of the Ḥafetz Ḥayyim in the revision of the text.
