Author’s Inscription — Siach Yitzchak (Two Parts), with a Handwritten Inscription by Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiyah - Siach Yitzchak, in two parts, containing prayers, Mishnah study, poems, sermons, supplications, and ethical teachings, by Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiyah. Jerusalem, Zuckerman Press. A distinguished association copy bearing a handwritten inscription and signature of the author on the front endpaper, dedicated to Rabbi Yehudah Haddad. Adjacent to the inscription appears Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiyah’s personal stamp. Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiyah (1874–1955) was among the foremost sages of Jerusalem and one of the leading kabbalists of his generation. Renowned as a scholar, preacher, and educator, he devoted himself to the spiritual welfare of the Jewish people and the dissemination of Torah and reverence for Heaven. He is especially remembered for initiating the recitation of Psalms on behalf of the children of Israel and for his profound influence on the religious life of Jerusalem’s Old Yishuv. This is a particularly personal and significant copy, presented by the author himself and bearing his original handwritten dedication. Inscriptions by Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiyah are uncommon, especially in copies of his own works that were personally gifted to scholars and distinguished individuals. Thick volume.
