Rabbi Yaakov Abuchatzeira (1806–1880), author of Avir Yaakov, is regarded as the patriarch of the illustrious Abuchatzeira dynasty and one of the most influential figures in the worlds of Kabbalah and Sephardic spirituality in modern times. His works were received with great reverence throughout the Jewish world, particularly among the sages of North Africa and the Land of Israel, and continue to be studied with devotion and depth to this day.
