Beautiful Esther Scroll on Gevil. Jerusalem, Early 20th Century – Fine Sephardic Script with Original Wooden Rollers - A beautiful and finely executed Megillat Esther on gevil, written in an elegant and carefully crafted Sephardic scribal hand by an accomplished scribe. The scroll is executed in a clear and uniform script, in a traditional and impressive format. The scroll is complete from beginning to end, written on six gevil membranes, arranged in 19 lines and 20 columns, and mounted on its original wooden atzei chaim, featuring a finely carved wooden handle. Attached to the end of the scroll is its original leather tying strap. Height of the gevil: 23 cm. Overall height including the atzei chaim: 36 cm. Condition: Good. Light staining and signs of use. Several repairs and scribal corrections. Complete and fully legible.
