A Large Composite Volume of Talmudic Tractates and Rabbinic Works Printed at the Zhitomir Press of the Shapira Family, 1858–1859 - A substantial volume comprising several tractates of the Babylonian Talmud together with classic rabbinic works, printed in Zhitomir at the renowned press of the grandsons of the Rabbi of Slavita, Rabbi Ḥanina Lipa Shapira and Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel Shapira. Established following the closure of the famous Slavita press, the Zhitomir printing house continued the distinguished printing tradition of the Shapira family and was widely regarded as the direct heir to the celebrated Slavita press. The Talmudic editions printed there attained a special status among Torah scholars and remain among the most sought-after and beloved nineteenth-century Talmud editions produced in Eastern Europe.
