HaVaad HaLeumi ,1946-1947. 46 x 32 cm, LeAsirenu – Public Association of the HaVaad HaLeumi which was set-up in 1946 to handle the matter of Jewish prisoners and detainees held by the British.The head of the Vaad was Simcha Even-Zohar, supported by the Chief Rabbis. The brothers Gabriel and Maxim Shamir (Shpatelovitz), were graphic designers from the mid 1930s until the 1990s. Their most well-known work is the symbol of the State of Israel. Tears with some missing material with artistic make-up. The poster was stuck on linen material for preservation purposes. In average condition.
