MILKA SUCHARD - Condition (1-2) | Enamel sign / Porcelain sign, lettering thickly stenciled, the image also lithographed, around 1915, 35 x 50 cm, Fanal Emailschilderfabrik, very good surface, the image should be known by everyone and yet this Milka-dog from Warsaws enamel factory ”Fanal” (monogram with torch as trademark on the border) might be unknown for even some of the experienced collectors. In addition to the more common Swiss and German versions, the Suchard company also had advertising signs made by this enamelling factory at the time. Depiction and lettering are similar to the lithographs for the Italian market from that time. Normally those pieces are convex, this one is flat though - if it used to be mounted on a waggon or a cabinet is not known to us.
