J.V.D. TOORN - Condition (1) | Porcelain sign / enamel sign, convex, stenciled and lithographed, Amsterdam/NL around 1905, 24 x 48 cm, Aetz- & Emaillierwerke C. Robert Dold, Offenburg in Baden, with one hand clutching the bottle tightly, the child points to its favorite drink - an early manifesto of Dutch applied art that was also issued with a red and blue background at the time. All these color variations are extremely rare, the enameling was executed in the finest craftsmanship, with the lettering and border filled in like sugar casting.
