CHICORÉE JACOBS (3) - Condition (3) | Big enamel sign, all colors thickly stenciled, 80 x 150 cm, Publicité Thibezard, Bruxelles, , signed: Raf. Strylaers, this almost mystical sign was found just over a decade ago in the garden of an abandoned building in Wallonia. As one of only five known examples in existence today, it ranks among the finest Belgian enamel advertisements in terms of rarity and extravagance. To the left of the first branch, a coin-sized hole has been resealed and the substance minimally restored.
