Bidspirit auction | SEILBAHN HOCHMUTH | EMAILSCHILD
SEILBAHN HOCHMUTH | EMAILSCHILD - SEILBAHN HOCHMUTH | Condition: (1++) | Enamel sign, stenciled and lithographed, GER early 1970s, 48 x 80 cm, signed: UL. When the Hochmuth cable car went into operation in 1973, this sign advertised the ride across the village of Tyrol to the summit. The graphic design captivates with its timeless elegance, and through the windows of the cabin you can glimpse the silhouettes of up to 21 people that the cable car could carry on one trip. Even today, the cable car is still the preferred means of transport to Hochmuth, a magnificent mountain landscape with a unique panoramic view over Merano. I had the opportunity to admire the sign some time ago in one of the most beautiful collections in Germany, and it has remained in my mind ever since, until it found its way to us in Worms, where it is now safely stored. I am not aware of any other examples, which makes it all the more wonderful to know that the new owner is among you. | We do only sell originals, no replicas or fakes. Worldwide shipping possible.
