KUPPER BREWERY | ALTE REKLAME | EMAILSCHILD | ZUSTAND (1+) - Condition (1+) | Enamel sign, convex, thickly stenciled, finely lithographed, GER around 1910, 25 x 36 cm, an early enamel poster from a Wuppertal brewery, produced for overseas markets to which the brewery had been exporting from an early stage. It was precisely this export business that proved to be the brewery’s undoing around 1900 due to an excessive reliance on foreign trade, which is why, following a lucrative offer, it merged with a competitor to form Wicküler-Küpper-Brauerei AG. Most likely, this was also the reason why the enamel sign has been able to remain in Germany to this day. | We do only sell originals, no replicas or fakes.
