Sefer Ikarei HaDat, Florence, 5563-5566 (1803-1806), Two Parts, First Edition. - The Sefer Ikarei HaDat, a compilation of Halachic rulings and responsa by the Gaon, Rabbi Daniel Terni. - First Edition. Part 1: Orach Chaim. Florence, 5563 (1803). At the end of the book are three appendices: ”Achar HaIkar” - printer's corrections. ”LeAchar HaSeudah” - additions to the author's Sefer Seudat Mitzvah. ”LeAchar Yad” - additions to the author's Sefer Matnat Yad. On page 3 (Siman 1, Seif 6), ”Ve'al [And see below] Siman 17, Ot 31,” possibly in the author's handwriting. Part 2: Yoreh De'ah. Florence, 5566 (1806). At the end, there is an appendix called ”Ta'am KeIkar”. The Gaon, Rabbi Daniel Terni (approximately 5500-5574, 1740-1814) is well-known in the world of Torah for his foundational work, Ikarei HaDat, a commentary on the Shulchan Aruch, specifically on the sections of Orach Chaim and Yoreh De'ah. This work was even appended to some editions of the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah. For many years, he served as the Rav of Pesaro, and in the year 5551 (1791) (see Ikarei HaDat Yoreh De'ah, Siman 22, Ot 8), he began to serve as the Rav of Florence. The author of Ikarei HaDat was one of the great scholars of Italy in his generation, and his books were accepted throughout all of Israel and were reprinted several times. Among his other works that were published are: Ksav HaDat, Matnat Yad, Seudat Mitzvah, Shem Olam, and many other works remain in manuscript. 112, 131 leaves. Approximately 24 cm.
