Rabbi Meir Feuerwerger, Frankfurt am Main 1930. Requesting a Semicha from his Rabbi. 1930 A very interesting long letter in which he unfolds in detail, his life biography and his deep thirst for Torah in Germany. And therefore he asks his Rabbi to grant him a Rabbinical Recommendation (Semicha) Rabbi Meir Feuerwerger was a student of the yeshivot of Chust, Selish, Unsdorf and Satmar. In 1928, he served as rabbi of the Orthodox community in Frankfurt A.M. In 1939, he fled to Belgium and settled in Brussels. During the war he was active in the rescue efforts. He survived the Holocaust but lost his entire family. After the Holocaust he served as member of the Brussels Beit Din which often dealt with the aguna problem. He moved to London in 1955, where he lead the Montefiore school.
