Letter from Rabbi Moshe Leib Litsch Rosenbaum, Pressburg Dayan. To the Maharam Shick. A handwritten letter from Rabbi Moshe Leib Halevi Litsch Rosenbaum, Dayan of Pressburg. The letter is addressed to Rabbi Moshe Shick, the Mahram Shick. Rabbi Moshe Leib Litsch Rosenbaum (1814-1877) was born in Pressburg to his father Rabbi Rabbi Yehuda Rosenbaum, descendants of the Maharal of Prague and Chavas Yair. Was a devoted talmid of the Chasam Sofer and later became Rav of Pressburg during the living of the Ksav Sofer. Rabbi Yechiel Michel Kitzeh (d. 1845) was one of the prominent community leaders of Pressburg during the lifetime of the Chasam Sofer. He studied under R. Mordechai Banett, and signed on the appointment document of the Chasam Sofer. Authored ”Shalmei Nedava” on Talmud.
