Geulas Yisrael - Torah from the Baal Shem Tov and his Talmidim First Edition. Compilations, essays and teachings from the Holy Baal Shem Tov and his talmidim, by Rabbi Yehoshua Avraham of Zhitomir. Contains teachings from the Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid of Mezeritch, Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, the 'Degel Machane Ephraim', Rabbi Baruch of Mezibuzh, Rabbi Shalom of Farahbisht (the father of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin), Rabbi Aharon from Zhitomir and others. This sefer contains the first collection of teachings from Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz, and constitutes the foundation and main part of his Torah. In the following editions, only sections of the sefer were printed, with changes and omissions, with a different title named Pisgamin Kaddishin, and was only once reprinted in its entirety (Pietarkov 1913). A rare chassidic sefer! This sefer in its completion is extremely rare. Rabbi Yehoshua Avraham, son of Rabbi Yisrael of Zhitomir, was among the Chassidic tzaddikim of the early 1800s. Many of the chiddushim printed in the present sefer were heard himself from the tzaddikim who taught them. During the printing of the sefer, a secret matter was revealed to him which he does not reveal, but this was a sign for him that ”it is the will of Heaven that I should print it.” He was very knowledgeable in the wisdom of lotteries and in the order of the Jewish calendar and printed several sefarim on these topics. Rabbi Yehoshua Avraham is the one who worked to print the complete edition of the Shulchan Aruch HaRav (Sudilkov edition 1826), and merited a very enthusiastic haskamah and blessing from the saintly Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl. In the preface to Part I, the author writes that he was unable to print an additional part due to a fire that broke out in his home in Zhitomir, yet later he printed its second part.
