The Nesivos Shalom’s Handwritten Blessing on the Wedding Invitation of His Son, the Slonimer Rebbe shlit”a * Printed wedding invitation to the marriage of the Slonimer Rebbe, Rabbi Shmuel Berezovsky shlit”a, with an additional personal inscription and signature in the holy handwriting of his father, the Admor Rabbi Shalom Noach Berezovsky, author of Nesivos Shalom. The grand wedding took place in 1959, when the Rebbe married Rebbetzin Shaina Rachel, granddaughter of the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz. The Nesivos Shalom, whose heart burned with boundless love for Klal Yisrael, added several handwritten lines to the printed invitation, blessing the recipient on his own family’s joyous occasion: “I hereby invite you to participate and rejoice in our celebration, and I bless you with mazal tov upon the bar mitzvah of your dear grandson. May it be His will that you see from him and all your descendants much nachas in Torah and greatness…” The Admor Rabbi Shalom Noach Berezovsky (1911 – 2000) was one of the great leaders of the past generation. He served as the president of Chinuch Atzmai and was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisrael. He was the son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Avraham of Slonim, author of Birkas Avraham. Following the Holocaust, Rabbi Shalom Noach rebuilt the Slonim Chassidus and established yeshivos and institutions. He won wide acclaim for his renowned Nesivos Shalom series, which have since become cornerstone sefarim of chassidic thought and are studied by Jews across the spectrum of the Jewish world. Interestingly, before the wedding, the chassan's grandfather, the Birkas Avraham, wrote to the kallah's grandfather, the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz, and remarked about the chassan, “The dear chassan is careful and vigilant in holiness” (Meir HaChaim, vol.
