Letter of Blessings from the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz “May Hashem in His goodness help that joy never cease in his home, and that Torah and prosperity be united at his table.” * An extraordinary letter overflowing with heartfelt blessings, signed in the holy handwriting of the Admor Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, the author of Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz, one of the greatest Rebbes in the generation following the Holocaust. He writes: ”“How greatly my heart rejoiced to see that the time of his wedding has arrived.  May Hashem in His goodness help that joy never cease in his home,  that Torah and prosperity be united at his table,  and that he lead his household with constant delight,  in holiness and purity.  May he merit to devote himself to Torah and avodah  with joy and peace of mind. Words of one who awaits the salvation of all Israel with great mercy,  and wishes you a Chag Kasher VeSameach.” At the conclusion is his handwritten signature: “Chaim Meir, son of the tzaddik Rabbi Yisrael, of blessed memory.” It appears that the body of the letter is in the handwriting of his eldest son and successor, the Yeshuos Moshe of Vizhnitz. Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, author of Imrei Chaim, was born in 1888 to his father, Rabbi Yisrael of Vizhnitz. He served as his father's trusted aide throughout his lifetime and assumed the mantle of leadership following his passing. After the Holocaust, he rebuilt and reestablished Vizhnitz Chassidus. In 1947 he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael where he reestablished the Vizhnitz institutions. He was one of the foremost leaders of chareidi Jewry until his passing in 1972. Bnei Brak, 1952.
