Sefer Yesod: Ma'asei Hashem – Includes Pesach Haggadah with  Commentary.   First Edition,   Venice, 1583 * An important commentary on the Pesach Haggadah by  Rabbi Eliezer Ashkenazi. Includes the full text of the Haggadah. The sefer includes commentaries on all the “Ma'asiyos” in the Torah, in four parts: Ma'asei Bereishis, Ma'asei Avos, Ma'asei Mitzrayim (including the commentary of the Haggadah), and Ma'asei Torah. The full text of the Haggadah with the commentary is printed on pages 119b-138a. The author is the physician Rabbi Eliezer Ashkenazi (Italy 1512-Cracow 1585), son of Rabbi Eliyahu Ashkenazi and son-in-law of the Maharik. He corresponded in halacha with the Beis Yosef, the Rema, the Maharshal, the Bach, and more. “He was almost the only one of his generation that all the geonim would send their questions and answers to” (Haskama of the Pnei Yehoshua to his sefer Yosef Lekach, fourth edition). Condition: The title page and two pages are glued to old paper for reinforcement; tears, adhesions, and punctures in the margins of several pages. Signs of use.
