Since the publication of the sefer, it has remained a staple of Torah study and is studied regularly in yeshivas. Rabbi Akiva Eiger's reasoning and halachic rulings guide every Torah scholar and are quoted with great reverence in halachic and analytical works of the Achronim. The teshuvos were sent to all corners of the world, including to his illustrious son-in-law, the Chasam Sofer; Rabbi Meir Pozner, author of Beis Meir; Rabbi Yaakov Lorberbaum of Lissa, author of Nesivos; and others. By Rabbi Akiva's request, the sefer was published with great care on fine paper, with wide margins, and includes eye-catching illustrations of beautiful animals and plants.
