Maseches Sanhedrin A Special Pocket-Sized Edition for Study While Traveling Fuerth, 1739 * A volume of Maseches Sanhedrin from the Talmud Bavli, with the commentary of Rashi and Tosafos on the daf, and with the Rosh printed at the end. This is a unique edition produced in a relatively small format, in which every two leaves (four pages) of the present edition correspond to one standard daf (two pages) of the Gemara in its usual tzuras ha-daf. On the title page appears the notice: “Prepared and arranged in a small volume, with a number of fine qualities, so that every man can carry it in his pocket and in his bag – the like of which has never before existed.” Indeed, this is the first edition of Maseches Sanhedrin in the world, printed in such a small volume. On the reverse of the title page, the tefillah recited before and after learning is printed, along with the text of the Hadran upon completing the maseches. Fuerth, 1739.
