Rare Signature of the Kabbalist Rabbi David Chai Abuchatzeira of Nahariya * A kashrus certificate issued by the local Rabbanut of Nahariya for an institution in the city, bearing the handwritten signature of the renowned Kabbalist, Rabbi David Abuchatzeira. The certificate dates to 1982, while his illustrious grandfather, the Baba Sali, was still alive. Signatures from Rabbi David Chai Abuchatzeira are exceedingly rare. Rabbi David Chai Abuchatzeira (born 1952) is among the foremost kabbalists of our generation. Thousands stream to him from across the globe to receive the blessing of a tzaddik. He is the son of Baba Meir, son of the Baba Sali. One of his brothers was the kabbalist Rabbi Elazar Abuchatzeira Hy”d. Signed together with him is Rabbi Aharon Keller, the Ashkenazi Rav of Nahariya (and its first Rav from the time of the city’s founding). Nahariya, 1982. A sheet of paper measuring 20.2 × 32.7 cm.
